Ein Zusammenschalten von zwei oder drei ca. 400 m² großen Einheiten ist auf einer Ebene eben- so einfach möglich wie ihre – kernunabhängige – Koppelung über mehrere Etagen. Jede unterschiedliche Büroorganisati- on ist möglich. Das Gebäude ist horizontal mit einer Bandfassade aus Fens- ter- und Brüstungsbändern gegliedert. Die Kastenfenster ha- ben innenliegende Lamellen und bieten, auch bei den zu öff- nenden Ausstellfl ügeln besten Wärme- und Schallschutz. Die Brüstungsbänder sind der unterschiedlichen Ausrichtung zur Sonne entsprechend in optimalem Neigungswinkel ausgebil- det und mit PV-Modulen belegt. Das energetische Konzept sieht ein autarkes Gebäude vor, welches lokale Ressourcen nutzt und über seine Gebäudetechnikanlagen eine hohe Ener- gieeffi zienz erreicht. Given its specifi c location right next to the A5 motorway, the building functions like a beacon, benefi ts from its visual rela- tion to the airport, the Frankfurt skyline and the Taunus range, and translates the fact into three buildings of corresponding orientation and varying height. Merging two or three of the units of roughly 400 sqm is just as easy as it is to join them across several fl oors in autonomy of the building core. The units lend themselves to any offi ce arrangement. Horizontally, the building façade divides into bands of win- dows and parapets. The box windows are fi tted with lamellae on the inside that offer optimal thermal and acoustic insula- tion even when the windows are open. The parapet bands are optimally tilted to accommodate PV modules, taking the varying angles toward the sun into account. The energy con- cept provides for a self-suffi cient building that exploits local resources, and achieves a high degree of energy effi ciency through its M&E engineering systems.
